Scope of Work:

The research conducted by Mr. James Alanko under the OSRI fellowship will involve the analysis and interpretation of high-frequency radar (HFR) derived surface currents from both central Prince William Sound (PWS) and Lower Cook Inlet (LCI). The Prince William Sound effort will concentrate on the June through September 2004 and March through April 2005 period, during which time an excellent data set is available from the central sound. The Lower Cook Inlet data set covers the period from November 2006 to the present with radar removal scheduled for November 2007. A variety of analyses will be conducted using these data sets.
